The Amiigo Fitness Bracelet is a wearable activity tracking device that you wear on your wrist…..and on your foot. The tracking of your foot movement is what sets the Amiigo Fitness Bracelet apart from all the other fitness tracking devices currently out there.
The Amiigo is being funded by a Kickstarter project and to date it has raised over $265,000 out of its initial funding goal of $90,000 and it still has a month to go before the project ends. The only stretch goal left is at $350,000 for the chance to vote for new colors for the Amiigo.
The Amiigo bracelet is made up of a adjustable bracelet that you wear on your wrist and a tiny clip that you can detach from the bracelet and clip it to your shoe. The advantage of tracking the feet movement is that some activities do not involve hand movement like cycling or when you are doing leg exercises. The clip and the bracelet works independent of each other so you can just either one on its own.
Besides movement, it can keep track of heart rate, blood oxygen levels, skin temperature, activity level as well as calories burned. Over a hundred different activities can be identified and tracked with the data stored on the Amiigo before being shared over Bluetooth 4.0 to iOS and Android phones. It does not need a constant connection to the smart phone as it has built in storage to record data for hours.
The Amiigo Fitness Bracelet is ideal for all kinds of athletes. You can also share and compete with friends through game-like activities and setting personal goals via the free apps made available on your smart phone. The system even generates customized exercise recommendations based on the your activities.
