HiMedia Q5 set top boxThe HiMedia Q5 is an Android powered set top TV box or media player that a few tricks up its sleeves. It is made by HiMedia, a Chinese company that is well known for its Realtek set top boxes. The HiMedia Q5 is one of HiMedia’s few initial forays into Android territory.

The HiMedia Q5 is powered by a Hisilicon 3716C SoC, a single core Cortex A9 1GHz CPU. Although it is less powerful than the dual core Rockchip RK3066 based Android Mini PCs like the MK808, iMito MX1 and the Minix Neo G4, the Q5 firmware is stable and it performs well as a set top box.
