The Leikr GPS Sports Watch is a Kickstarter project by former Nokia engineers. It has a 2″ 320×240 color screen, WiFi and BT wireless connectivity, runs on Linux OS and supports OpenStreet maps.

The Leikr is targeted at athletes such as runners, bikers, triathletes, swimmers, marathoners, and more. It is made from material that is built to last like Gorilla Glass for the display and medical grade rubber for the strap.

The project has just reached it’s funding goal of $250,000 and it has only just 65 hours to go with the funding scheduled to end on Feb 1st. The initial lower priced pledges have all been sold out so if you want in on the Leikr GPS Sports Watch, you need to pledge a minimum of $299 with about 70 units still available at this price.
