The MK808 Dual Core Android Mini PC is one of the first Android Smart TV sticks to feature a dual core Rockchip RK3066 chipset. The Rockchip RK3066 has a maximum clock speed of 1.6 GHz but it is under clocked to 1.2 GHz on the MK808 due to heating problems. The RK3066 is significantly faster than the Allwinner A10 chipset that is used in the MK802.
Besides the faster processor, the MK808 also has doubled the amount of storage RAM to 8GB compared to the MK802. It also has dual WiFi antennas to improve on the WiFi connectivity. Last but not least, the MK808 comes with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) installed.
The hands on review of the MK808 takes a more detailed look at the specification and compares it to the older MK802 model. It also has a list of working USB peripherals including USB webcams, wireless keyboard and game controllers.
