This first round of shipment is for the early backers who pledged support on the Kickstarter project. The number of early backers number in the tens of thousands so it may take awhile before your unit gets shipped. If you are one of the backers, look out for an email informing of your tracking number and estimated delivery date.
For those of you who have placed your pre-orders for the console after the Kickstarter ended, you still have to wait until June.

The Ouya is an Android based dedicated game console. Unlike games that are available from the Google Play Store, games for the console are designed to be controlled using the included wireless game controller. The system will have its own game store where all the games are specifically programmed for it.
The Ouya was originally launched as a Kickstarter project. It quickly became one of the most successful Kickstarter projects ever when it raised over $8.5 million.
